Phuket

I don't think they have OSHA in Thailand. Bamboo scaffolding...?

Travel bar.

Throughout Asia you find bad English translations everywhere, this was the funniest. This was a disclaimer from one of the guesthouses.

Bloo with a little Chang.

The end of the trip. Baggage claim at Logan airport, Boston MA. Finally home....

Ko Phi Phi and Phuket

Big buddha up on the hill in Phuket. The biggest Buddha in Thailand.

Overlooking Phuket from the hill with the big Buddha on it.

Big Buddha from afar. Just to get an idea of how big it really is.

Us being cat vigilanties. We would go around the island at night and feed stray and skinny keys cans of tuna fish.

Bloo holding a baby gibbon. :)

Ko Phi Phi

Us holding an eagle (of some sort...we don't know exactly what) but it was pretty awesome.

Muay Thai. Also known as Thai Boxing. Pretty brutal sport. They had boxing matches by amateurs and drunk volunteers at one bar in Ko Phi Phi every night. We saw several tourist on crutches after trying to drunk box their friends.

Us with a baby gibbon. We found out later after visiting a gibbon rescue sanctuary that this is not encouraged for tourists to do and is detremental to survival of gibbons in the wild.

Fire show on the beach

Partying in Ko Phi Phi

The last couple of weeks....

Viewpoint from the top of the hill in Ko Phi Phi

Biking around the island on beach cruisers.

Ryan playing drums at the reggae bar at the Ko Lanta old town festival. :)

Christchurch before the second earthquake

These are the only pictures that did not get stolen from us when our luggage went "missing" at the Singapore/Bangkok/Chiang Mai airport. They were taken just weeks before the second earthquake in Christchurch, NZ.

This is the actual Christ Church Cathedral

a view of a rainbow taken from the "beautiful" Oasis hotel.

Some Maoris preforming a traditional "Haka" at the Buskers festival.

Life size chess board at central square.

In the tubing Vang Vieng

This is a Mojito bucket. One too many of these and you end up doing things like this...
...

Dangerous rope swing

One of the many bars on the river. This one happens to have a "death slide" we did not go on this. We were advised not to by the bartender across the river.

In the tubing Vang Vieng

Aaaawww

Spires jetting out of the water at Railay

Can you spot the mountain cat?
